I bought this book for my daughter in Alaska, because they do cast iron cooking when at their cabin. She just received the book yesterday and said she is looking forward to trying the recipes. A winner! So, I am ordering a copy of The Lodge Cast Iron cookbook for myself.

Very Unique Cookbook

I was glad to see that someone finally came up with a cookbook for cast iron since it's been around for so long! This cookbook has a wide variety of recipes from everyday cooking to cooking outside for hunters. I have tried one of the recipes and enjoyed it and will try others.

Awesome cookbook

Initially I bought the cookbook because I have several cast iron skillets that I cook with. I loved the book and loved the fact that the recipes are simple and easy to understand. Most ingredients are things you have on hand or can find easily at the grocery store.
Loved it so well I purchased each of my daughters a book.

this was a gift for my husband who is the main cook in our household and my mother gave him his current cast iron pan inherited from my grandmother which is over 70 years old. he loves it and we have already used it for several of the recipes. Love it.
