Great for traveling
August 24, 2010

I purchased this book as our "away from home" book for vacations, camping trips, overnights with grandma, etc. It is great to have ONE book that will take care of any age child for an entire trip, even to carry on to the plane. I find the paperback version that I have a little difficult to hold with a kid on your lap, so see the benefits of the hardback version, but the paperback is perfect for traveling, which is why I bought it.

I was very disappointed in this book and would LOVE to be able to return it.

This is a fantastic selection of some of my favorite stories from my own childhood. I was very pleased to find them combined in one book which is a great value! The illustrations are just as I remember them too, even though the stories are not laid out the same as in the original books. I can't wait to share these stories with my daughter and hopefully she will enjoy them as much as I did growing up!

Perfect Gift for New Grandparents
February 23, 2010

While the paperback edition may not hold up as long as the hardback it is perfect for travel or giving to new grandparents. I have also given it to recent graduates to remind them to "keep their inner child". Everyone has fond memories of many of these stories and I love to hear the exclamations as they flip through the volume.

Revision to previous review.
February 22, 2010

I did not notice that I was reviewing the SOFTCOVER edition earlier, the one we purchase was Hardcover and a must have. If the content is the same I would say the same for the softcover, but have to admit that as much as we use it and treasure it, would not be the same.
